Are you in the market for a new home? Are you thinking of building? Do you need a little inspiration? This annual event has you covered!
Every Summer, the Southwestern Indiana Builders Association (SIBA) puts newly built homes on display for everyone to tour. The Parade of Homes is similar to viewing a life-size brochure of the latest in building technology, floorplans, landscaping, and interior design.
The best part…there is no cost to tour these homes!
What to Expect at the 2024 Parade of Homes
Whether you’re just starting your home search, looking for home design ideas, or trying to find a home builder, you belong at the 2024 Parade of Homes.
The Parade lasts an entire week, giving you plenty of time to tour every home! There is no cost to tour homes, and no tickets required.
During open hours, you can walk in and out of Parade Homes at your leisure. If you’re really loving a home, stay a bit longer to take in all the details. You can even chat with the home builder themselves on site! It’s a great way to meet reputable builders in our area that design and build high-quality custom and semi-custom homes.
2024 Parade of Homes Dates:
June 1-9 (closed June 4th)
Saturday and Sunday 1-6pm
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday 5-8pm
Where are the Homes Located?
This year, homes are spread all across the area: from the far East side of Newburgh to the West side of Evansville. If you’re still deciding which side of town you want to build on, pick a few homes in each area, drive through the neighborhoods, and check out the nearby amenities.
The Parade of Homes website is a fantastic resource to use during the week, The website includes a map of all homes, addresses, descriptions, photos, and a digital Parade of Homes magazine.
Who Built These Homes?
Every home in the Parade is built by a Builder member of the Southwestern Indiana Builders Association. These home building companies build homes of all sizes across Warrick, Vanderburgh, Posey & South Gibson counties.
Each year, builders select a home to enter in the Parade. Usually, a builder will enter the home that they’re most proud of, or that they feel best reflects their style. Some homes are off the market, and the homeowner will move in after the Parade. Others are still for sale!
If you tour a home that you love, but it’s already sold, contact the builder. They’d be happy to meet with you to discuss building something similar (and adding some custom touches just for you!)
Parade of Homes Awards
The Parade of Homes runs from June 1st through the 9th, but all homes are closed on June 4th for the Annual Parade of Homes Awards Banquet. At this banquet; homebuilders, sub-contractors, and suppliers gather together to congratulate those that won awards.
All 27 homes are divided into categories based on home price. From there, they are scored by experienced judges. Awards include: Best Exterior, Best Interior, Best Kitchen, Best Bath, and Home of the Year. The Home of the Year is the home that gets the highest overall score in its category.
On Wednesday, June 5th, all awards will be posted to the Parade of Homes website. Be sure to check back!

What is the Southwestern Indiana Builders Association?
You’ve heard us mention the Southwestern Indiana Builders Association (SIBA) a couple of times. So, what is SIBA?
SIBA is a non-profit association of local building professionals. Anyone and any business that has anything to do with building a home can join.
This includes:
- Home builders
- Brick suppliers
- Wood suppliers
- Plumbers
- Painters
- Electricians
- Mortgage loan officers
- Banks
- Insurance companies
- Lighting companies
- Realtors
- Suppliers
- Misc Service Providers
- …and more!
SIBA members take advantage of the educational, legislative, marketing, consulting, quality assurance and other opportunities they simply could not achieve alone. Through this collaboration, SIBA promotes safe and affordable housing so that everyone has the opportunity to achieve the American dream of homeownership.
SIBA is the organization responsible for the Parade of Homes event that we all love! To enter a home in the Parade of Homes, you must be a SIBA Member.
Who is in Charge at SIBA?
SIBA is governed by a Board of Directors. The Executive Committee includes a secretary, treasurer, vice president, and president.
Modern Structure’s very own, Mark Mayfield, is proud to be the 2024 SIBA President. As president, Mark dedicates a lot of time to organizing SIBA fundraisers and helps keep the organization moving towards its goals.
As a SIBA Member and President, Mark works with the organization to keep housing safe and affordable in our area.
